Texas Brothers Plead Guilty to Armed Robbery of Minnesota Family's $8M Crypto Holdings

According to federal prosecutors, two Texas brothers pleaded guilty Thursday to robbing a Minnesota family of more than $8 million in cryptocurrency during an armed home invasion on September 19, 2025. Isiah Angelo Garcia, 25, and Raymond Christian Garcia, 24, both from Waller, Texas, held the victims at gunpoint for more than eight hours, forcing them to transfer crypto assets and retrieve storage devices from a northern Minnesota cabin. Each defendant faces up to 20 years in federal prison and has agreed to pay over $8 million in restitution. Sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
