South Korea's Hybrid Car Registrations Hit 2.73M, Up 24.2% as Oil Prices Rise

According to the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association, hybrid car registrations in South Korea reached 2.73 million as of end-April, up 24.2% year-over-year, accounting for 10.2% of all registered vehicles and maintaining above 10% for two consecutive months. Electric vehicle registrations also surged nearly 40% to 1.02 million, marking South Korea's entry into the era of over 1 million EV registrations, as reported by the Korea Business Telecom on May 25.
