Sichuan Police Dismantle Cross-Border Pornography Ring, $1.66M Laundered via Cryptocurrency

According to Xinhua Daily, Sichuan police dismantled a cross-border online pornography crime ring, with total fund flows reaching approximately 12 million yuan ($1.66 million). The suspect website "Xiuxiu Se Man" generated over 100 million page views by inducing minors to make frequent small payments. Authorities identified that domestic operatives received illicit funds through multiple corporate and personal accounts, with suspect Li Mouu and others transferring proceeds overseas via cryptocurrency.

On June 13, the Yaan Municipal Mingshan District People's Court handed down first-instance verdicts against five defendants for crimes including profit-driven dissemination of obscene materials and aiding information network crime. Investigators continue to pursue overseas backers behind the operation.
