Shipping Owners to Wait Weeks Before Resuming Operations Through Hormuz Strait After U.S.-Iran Agreement

According to a report by The Financial Times on June 16, Japan's Mitsui O.S.K. Lines president said most shipowners will wait for several weeks to confirm that the U.S.-Iran agreement to reopen the Hormuz Strait is being implemented before resuming normal operations.

The company expects shipping activity through the strategic waterway to return to normal within weeks following the accord.
