According to South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service, on May 26, Samsung became the country's largest borrowing corporate group. The FSS designated 42 major Korean enterprises as primary debt borrowers requiring financial structure assessments from creditor banks, with each company's loans exceeding 2.56 trillion won (approximately $1.15 billion). Samsung, Hyundai Motor, SK Hynix, Lotte, and LG ranked in the top five.
