Hanwha Unveils 55 Trillion Won Space and AI Investment Plan Through 2040

According to Yonhap Infomax, Hanwha Group announced on July 3 a long-term strategy to invest 55 trillion won in aerospace and artificial intelligence sectors through 2040. Vice Chairman Kim Dong-kwan disclosed the plan at a national vision briefing in Gyeongnam province. Hanwha Aerospace will allocate approximately 23 trillion won to develop independent launch vehicles, while Hanwha Systems will invest about 20 trillion won in ultra-low earth orbit SAR satellites, space AI data centers, and satellite communication networks. The group also plans to establish a defense AI data center with over 10 trillion won investment in Changwon.
