Minebea Mitsumi to Raise Precision Bearing Output 30% for AI Data Centers With 3.6B Investment

According to Nikkei, Minebea Mitsumi will invest 58 billion yen (approximately $360 million) on July 5 to expand precision bearing capacity for artificial intelligence data center cooling systems and storage equipment. The Japanese manufacturer plans to increase total bearing production capacity by approximately 30% to over 500 million units per month through investments at its Southeast Asian production facilities. The company will introduce advanced equipment capable of improving production efficiency by around 60%, with construction starting this year and production commencing as early as fiscal year 2028.
