According to Jin10, CME data for July 27 showed mixed performance across energy and precious metals. Gold trading volume increased 34,701 contracts to 213,170 while open interest declined 1,065 to 373,693. Silver volume rose 4,028 to 34,689 with open interest down 242 to 106,649. Copper advanced 7,088 contracts in volume to 46,122 and open interest grew 750 to 272,077.
In energy markets, WTI crude oil volume increased 14,431 to 1,022,603 but open interest fell 17,807 to 1,875,472. Brent crude saw volume up 12,335 to 244,433 and open interest up 712 to 248,017. Natural gas volume rose 3,544 to 453,093 with open interest up 8,693 to 1,675,993.
