CME Energy Futures See Mixed Performance on June 18; WTI, Brent, Natural Gas Post Declines

According to CME data on June 18, energy and precious metals futures posted divergent trading activity. Precious metals showed trading volume pullback but increased open interest, with gold and silver both declining in volume while copper saw deeper volume contraction. Meanwhile, WTI crude oil, Brent crude, and natural gas all posted declines in both trading volume and open interest, with WTI volumes down 32,326 contracts and open interest down 34,496 contracts from the prior session.
