According to Beating's monitoring, OpenAI will launch GPT-5.6 on June 23, featuring a 1.5 million token context window and API pricing at one-third of Anthropic's Claude Fable 5 rate. The timing aligns with Anthropic's launch of Claude Fable 5 on June 9 and its subsequent removal by the U.S. Commerce Department on June 12 due to security vulnerabilities.

Prediction markets currently price the probability of GPT-5.6's release between June 22-28 at 78 percent.
