According to Jin10 data, on May 21, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met with U.S. Vice Trade Representative Schweitzer in Suzhou during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation trade ministerial meeting. The two sides exchanged views on China-U.S. economic relations. Wang noted that the two countries' leaders held a historic meeting in Beijing last week, establishing a new positioning for a constructive strategic stable relationship between China and the U.S., and affirmed that the economic teams have achieved overall balanced and positive results. Wang stated both sides should expedite finalizing details of this round of economic and trade consultations in line with the consensus set by the leaders.
