According to Jin10, on May 21, China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met Malaysia's Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Johari in Suzhou to discuss deepening bilateral economic and trade relations. Wang proposed implementing the China-Malaysia Economic and Trade Cooperation Five-Year Plan (2024-2028) and welcomed Malaysia's participation in the China Import Expo and related export promotion activities. Malaysia's Johari expressed interest in deepening cooperation in traditional sectors like trade and investment, expanding partnerships in emerging areas such as advanced manufacturing, and welcoming more Chinese enterprises to invest in Malaysia.
