China Becomes Primary Trade Partner of 160+ Countries and Regions as of July 2026

According to the State Council Information Office, China has become the primary trade partner of 160 countries and regions, with imports displaying greater source diversity, broader product categories, and improved structural composition. Goods including dairy from Oceania, coffee from Africa, and shrimp from Ecuador are entering Chinese consumers' shopping baskets.

The Customs Authority will continue optimizing clearance procedures and reducing cross-border logistics costs to accelerate processing for perishable agricultural products. Starting July 1, the authority implemented a spot-check system for refunds below 10,000 yuan and fully digitized the process to enhance the consumer experience.
