According to CCTV News, Shanghai's imports and exports in the first half of 2026 reached 25.5 trillion yuan, representing an 18.6% year-over-year increase. Exports hit 1.14 trillion yuan with a 20.1% growth rate, marking the first time the figure has surpassed the trillion-yuan threshold. Imports totaled 1.41 trillion yuan, up 17.4%, bringing overall trade volume to a record high.
