Apple Launches Upgrade Leasing Program, iPhone Replacement Cycles Expected to Shorten to 2 Years

According to KB Securities, Apple is set to launch its "Apple Upgrade" leasing program on July 28, expected to shorten iPhone replacement cycles from 3-4 years to 2 years. The 24-month payment plan aims to reduce consumer burden while driving sales of premium Pro and Pro Max models. KB Securities projects global iPhone shipments to reach 260 million units in 2027, marking a record high compared to 250 million units this year. The analysis suggests Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and LG Innotek could benefit from increased memory demand and higher-priced model shipments.
