Dollar-Won NDF Rises to 1,475.20 Overnight; Brent Crude Surges 7% to $100.69

According to Yonhap Infomax, the dollar-won one-month NDF rose to 1,475.20 won overnight on July 23, as Brent crude surged 7.04% to $100.69 per barrel—the first time above $100 since May 22. The dollar-yen rate climbed to 163.986 yen. The U.S. dollar index closed at 101.447.

U.S. jobless claims for the week ending July 18 totaled 187,000 (seasonally adjusted), beating market expectations and marking the lowest level since September 1969, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. The European Central Bank held all three policy rates unchanged on July 23.
