Analyst: U.S. and Iran Can Never Reach Deal Based on Tehran's Memo Terms

According to Iranian media, a preliminary U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding includes U.S. commitments to lift sanctions, withdraw troops from Iran's vicinity, remove oil sanctions, unfreeze Iranian assets, lift naval blockade, and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Iran's missile program would be excluded from final negotiations focused on nuclear and economic issues.

Analyst Justin Low from investinglive stated on June 12 that if these remain Iran's expectations, the deal will never materialize. The core obstacles are: first, the U.S. will not lift sanctions before Iran fulfills any nuclear commitments; second, Trump has reaffirmed the naval blockade will be maintained regardless. Without strong objection within the 60-day execution period, these two points alone would cause the memorandum to collapse.
