Goldman Sachs Files for Trillion-Dollar Bitcoin Premium Income ETF Goldman Sachs is deepening its foray into the crypto space. The company, which has often been cautious about Bitcoin, has now officially filed with the SEC to launch a new investment product called the Bitcoin Premium Income ETF. This product is specifically designed to provide additional yield for investors. It does so by investing at least 80% of its net assets in instruments that provide exposure to the Bitcoin price. In addition, the fund will sell options on Bitcoin-related assets to generate regular premium income. Unlike traditional Bitcoin ETFs, which simply track price movements, this ETF incorporates a “covered call” strategy, or option sales. This strategy allows investors to profit from Bitcoin price fluctuations while simultaneously earning a fixed income from the premiums on the options sold. This move follows a similar trend previously undertaken by BlackRock.
