So 2025 was supposed to be THE year for crypto, right? 🔥 Looking back now, some of those predictions were wild – but there's definitely something to learn about which coins actually moved and which ones didn't. Let me break down what happened with both the solid bets and the riskier plays.

First, the blue-chip stuff. Bitcoin did its thing as always – the institutional money kept flowing in. Ethereum had its moments too, though those $15k predictions? Yeah, didn't quite hit like people thought. Solana proved it could hang with the big boys thanks to its speed and low fees. Polygon kept grinding in the Layer 2 space, and Chainlink remained essential infrastructure for anyone building smart contracts. Arbitrum also showed why it matters for scaling.

But here's where it gets spicy – the shit coins and meme coins were honestly the wildcard. Pepe had its cult following, and if you were early, you probably made some noise. Floki kept its community strong, Bonk rode the Solana hype train, and Dogecoin... well, it's still around doing its thing. Even Shiba Inu pivoted into trying to build actual ecosystem stuff, which was interesting.

The real lesson? Yeah, some shit coins did surprise people, but most didn't. The ones that had actual communities and weren't pure pump-and-dumps lasted longer. Timing was everything – early positioning definitely mattered, but the 'get rich quick' narrative didn't play out for most retail traders.

What's your take – did you catch any of these moves, or were you waiting on the sidelines?
