According to Beating, xAI announced the Grok Build Plugin Marketplace, an integrated marketplace within its terminal AI programming tool that enables developers to browse, install, and update third-party tools directly in the command line. Each plugin bundles AI skills, control protocols (MCP), and code suggestion tools (LSP) into a single package, eliminating scattered configuration requirements.

Initial plugins include MongoDB for direct database queries and optimization, Vercel for cloud deployment control, Sentry for automatic bug detection and fixing via error stack analysis, and Chrome DevTools for real-time browser control.
