Xiaomi Opens MiMo Code V0.1.0 AI Assistant, Outperforms Claude Code by 5 Points on SWE-Bench Pro

According to Beating, Xiaomi has released and open-sourced MiMo Code V0.1.0, a terminal AI programming assistant under the MIT license. Built on OpenCode, it features the built-in MiMo-V2.5 multimodal model and supports DeepSeek, Kimi, and GLM APIs.

MiMo Code introduces a persistent memory system that offloads context management to sub-agents. When conversation windows approach capacity, sub-agents automatically save state and generate summaries for seamless handoff. The system achieved 62% on SWE-Bench Pro and 73% on Terminal Bench 2 using the same base model, outperforming Claude Code by 5 percentage points. Features include voice control, one-command installation on macOS and Linux, and a fully localized Chinese interface.
