U.S. Delays Adding DeepSeek, CXMT to Trade Blacklist Amid Over 100 Chinese Companies, Cites Geopolitical Concerns

According to Reuters, the U.S. government has delayed adding DeepSeek, chip manufacturer CXMT (Changxin Memory Technologies), and over 100 other Chinese companies to its trade blacklist, citing concerns about escalating tensions with Beijing. The affected companies had been flagged as national security risks and approved for listing by a U.S. inter-agency committee, but the Commerce Department has not updated its Entity List since October of last year. The Trump administration's move aims to avoid further straining U.S.–China relations.
