Microsoft Considers Integrating DeepSeek Model into Copilot Cowork, Shifts to Usage-Based Pricing on June 16

According to Axios, Microsoft is considering integrating DeepSeek's AI model into its enterprise platform Copilot Cowork to offer lower-cost options. The company is also planning to shift from fixed-price plans to usage-based billing to manage costs as agentic AI tools proliferate. Microsoft is testing fine-tuned versions of DeepSeek V4 and other open-source models as alternatives to OpenAI and Anthropic models. The company plans to introduce new lower-cost models within weeks and will announce its final model selection at that time.
