U.S. and Iran Reach First-Phase Memorandum of Understanding, Signing Set for June 19 in Geneva

According to China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian, the United States and Iran reached a memorandum of understanding on June 15, with the agreement to be signed on June 19 in Geneva. Pakistan, which mediated the talks, also confirmed the accord.

China's Foreign Ministry welcomed the U.S.-Iran consensus and commended Pakistan's mediation efforts. The ministry expressed hope that both sides will sign the agreement as scheduled and resolve differences through dialogue and negotiation.
