According to Chosun Daily, on May 12, Taiwan chipmaker TSMC joined Applied Materials’ US$5 billion EPIC Center in Silicon Valley, set to open in 2026. TSMC joins Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, and Micron at the facility, which will focus on developing and commercializing AI chip technology. Applied Materials and TSMC will collaborate on materials engineering, equipment design, and process integration for chips used in data centers and edge devices.
