Samsung SDS Consortium Selected to Build South Korea's National AI Computing Center with 2.5 Trillion Won Investment

According to South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT, Samsung SDS-led consortium was selected on May 11 as the private partner for the National AI Computing Center project with a total investment of 2.5 trillion won. The project plans to establish a public-private special purpose company in Q2 2026 and begin construction in Q3. Upon completion by 2028, the center will deploy approximately 15,000 advanced AI semiconductor units and provide computing resources to domestic small and medium enterprises, startups, and academic institutions at reduced costs.
