Trump's Peace Committee Remains Unfunded After 4 Months, Gaza Reconstruction Stalls

GateNews
According to Financial Times citing sources, the Peace Committee launched by Trump has received zero funding after four months, leaving Gaza reconstruction efforts largely stalled as of May 27. Despite member states pledging approximately $7 billion in aid and Trump indicating the U.S. would contribute an additional $10 billion, no funds have been disbursed to the World Bank-administered, UN-backed fund. Additionally, the U.S. State Department's planned $1.2 billion in aid and $50 million in operational funding have not been released, with Congress conditioning approval on the establishment of clear financial oversight mechanisms.
