U.S. Central Command Retracts Reports of Resumed Operation Prosperity Guardian on May 26

GateNews
According to Jin10 and the Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Central Command corrected media reports on May 26, clarifying that the United States did not resume Operation Prosperity Guardian. The Wall Street Journal had previously reported that a Greek-flagged oil tanker carrying 2 million barrels of crude oil was escorted through the Strait of Oman under U.S. Navy guidance as part of the operation's revival. A Central Command spokesperson stated that the earlier reporting was inaccurate, noting that the reported coordination between U.S. forces and the commercial vessel did not represent a new phase of Operation Prosperity Guardian.
