According to FinanceFeeds, Adecoagro, backed by Tether, plans to launch a 10-megawatt Bitcoin mining operation powered by sugarcane bagasse in Brazil, expected to commence around July 1, 2026. The initial deployment will include approximately 1,280 mining machines.

Adecoagro, a major South American agricultural company, has been majority-owned by Tether. The company currently operates over 230 megawatts of renewable energy generation capacity across South America. The mining project will utilize electricity generated from sugarcane residue, leveraging Brazil's mature ethanol and bioenergy industry.
