Sweden Abandons Plan to Lower Criminal Responsibility Age to 13, Proposes 14 Instead

According to Xinhua News Agency, on June 11, the Swedish government abandoned its plan to lower the criminal responsibility age to 13, proposing instead to reduce it from the current 15 to 14. The government cited insufficient support for the 13-year-old threshold as the reason for abandoning the original proposal.
