Over the past month, transaction volume and value of domestic physical gold investment in South Korea have declined approximately 50%, with year-to-date drops nearing 80%. The decline follows recent gold price corrections, coupled with persistent U.S. monetary tightening and weakening purchasing demand from Chinese individual investors who had driven gold prices higher in the previous year.
