Singapore to Launch Gold Clearing System by End of 2026, JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank to Participate

According to Bloomberg, Singapore Exchange will establish an offshore gold clearing system by the end of 2026, with JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank among the banks expected to participate. The initiative aims to position Singapore as a global gold market hub. Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who chairs the Monetary Authority of Singapore, stated that interbank trading is expected to commence gradually from 2027.
