According to The New York magazine, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), currently serving a 25-year sentence at Lompoc Federal Penitentiary in California on fraud and conspiracy charges, continues to assert his innocence. SBF speaks with reporters one to two times per week and maintains his position regarding his case while adhering to specific dietary practices in prison.

When discussing post-release plans with fellow inmate David Bunevacz, SBF stated he would need $50 million to $100 million in startup capital to establish a legitimate business and publicly declared he would launch his own cryptocurrency after his release.
