Rocket Lab Joins Nasdaq-100 on June 22; SpaceX Could Follow in Early July Under New Rules

Nasdaq announced on Thursday that Rocket Lab will join the Nasdaq-100 before markets open on June 22, coinciding with the company's production milestone of its 100th Electron rocket. The inclusion reflects growing investor focus on the aerospace sector following SpaceX's public debut, which raised $75 billion at an IPO price of $135 per share, valuing the company at approximately $1.8 trillion. Under Nasdaq's newly revised fast-track rules for large IPOs, SpaceX could join the Nasdaq-100 as early as July, significantly faster than the traditional waiting period previously required for major index inclusion.
