POSCO International Signs $100M Energy Partnership with Mongolia's Newcom on July 9

According to Yonhap Infomax, POSCO International signed a memorandum of understanding with Newcom, a leading Mongolian energy and infrastructure company, on July 9 in Ulaanbaatar to collaborate on energy transition projects. The partnership will focus on a staged implementation of approximately $100 million in energy projects, centered on district heating systems powered by heat pump technology utilizing waste heat from thermal power plants. POSCO International plans to leverage Mongolia as a strategic hub to expand its presence in Central Asia's energy market.
