Meta CEO Zuckerberg Admits Errors in AI Transition, Pledges No Large-Scale Layoffs This Year

According to Reuters, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in an internal memo on June 14 that the company made mistakes during its AI transition through layoffs and role reassignments. "Given the complexity of these transformations, we have made some errors, and we will almost certainly make more," Zuckerberg stated, adding he is committed to maintaining stability in future organizational changes. Meta cut 10% of its workforce in May and reassigned 7,000 employees to AI-related roles. Zuckerberg said Meta does not expect company-wide layoffs for the rest of the year.
