Japan's Business Sentiment Likely to Improve, 70% of Survey Respondents Submitted Before Peace Talks Announcement on July 1

According to Daiwa Securities economist Yutaro Suzuki, Japan's business sentiment may improve more significantly than the Bank of Japan's Tankan survey suggests. The economist noted that approximately 70% of survey respondents submitted their answers before the recent peace negotiations between the U.S. and Iran were announced, meaning the latest survey may not fully reflect the geopolitical developments. Suzuki stated that the September Tankan survey could show improved sentiment across industries as the Middle East situation becomes more fully reflected in business expectations.
