India's Commerce Minister Launches AI Training Center with Apna in Mumbai on June 6

According to The Economic Times, on June 6, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal inaugurated an AI training and placement center with Apna, an Indian jobs platform, at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Skill Development Centre in North Mumbai. The facility will use AI to assess job seekers' skill gaps, prepare candidates for interviews, identify career pathways, and connect them with employment opportunities. Goyal said six such centers are being set up in North Mumbai as part of a broader skill development ecosystem involving the Confederation of Indian Industry and other partners.
