AWS Launches Agentic Shopping Assistant; Tapestry Debuts AI Gift Concierge on April 13

According to AWS, the cloud unit has launched the Agentic Shopping Assistant, a toolkit enabling retailers to build AI shopping assistants using technology developed for Amazon's Alexa for Shopping. The offering provides implementation support and allows retailers to connect their own systems and data while keeping information in their own AWS accounts. Tapestry, the US fashion group owning Kate Spade, used the toolkit to launch an AI Gift Concierge on April 13. Amazon said the technology behind its AI shopping assistant served over 300 million customers last year and drove nearly $12 billion in incremental sales.
