Humanity Protocol Shifts to Enterprise AI After $36 Million Hack Causes H Token to Plunge 89%

According to The Block, Humanity Protocol founder Terence Kwok announced on July 2 that the project is pivoting to enterprise-grade AI products following a $36 million hack that caused the H token to plunge approximately 89%. The attack originated from a compromised developer laptop—not a smart contract vulnerability—after attackers obtained private keys from a Humanity Foundation member via phishing email, then minted and sold tokens across multiple chains. Kwok acknowledged the probability of fund recovery is "very low" and said the team will rebuild the ecosystem through token migration and compensation claims processes.
