Hedge Fund Manager John Paulson Says Gold Entering Bull Market Early Stage on July 22

According to CNBC, hedge fund manager John Paulson said on July 22 that gold is entering the early stage of a prolonged bull market. Paulson stated that as people lose confidence in fiat currencies, gold's role as an alternative asset will grow increasingly important. He noted that gold prices have risen approximately fourfold since 2009 and recently topped $5,000 per ounce before experiencing some pullback.

Paulson recommended investing in early-stage gold mining stocks rather than physical gold bullion, citing higher potential returns. He specifically highlighted NovaGold, a company he co-chairs, which holds approximately 40 million ounces of gold reserves with a market capitalization of about $4.3 billion, as an attractive investment opportunity.
