HD Hyundai Secures $408M US Data Center Power Deal With Aperion Energy

According to Chosun Daily, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries signed a 408 million US dollar contract with Aperion Energy Group on June 20 to supply power equipment for 684 megawatts of US data center capacity. The project uses 20-megawatt HiMSEN engines, large medium-speed units originally developed for marine applications. HD Hyundai said the order demonstrates its marine engine technology can be adapted for land-based, mission-critical power supply in data centers.
