According to Cointelegraph, Republican lawmakers are pushing to amend the 21st Century Housing Act to permanently ban a U.S. central bank digital currency (CBDC). The current Senate version only extends the ban through the end of 2030. Representative Mike Flood has proposed a revision to make the ban permanent, with the amended bill expected to face a House vote this week.
