Gold Holds $4,028, Silver at $58.63 Ahead of Thursday NFP Report

According to Kitco, spot gold and silver prices are steadier ahead of Thursday's U.S. nonfarm payrolls report on July 3, with gold trading near $4,028.20 (up 0.54%) and silver near $58.63 (up 0.29%) on Wednesday. Gold's early trading range was $3,959.40 to $4,036.40, while silver ranged from $57.05 to $59.24, as traders covered shorts near major support levels. The rebound remains capped by a firmer U.S. dollar and higher Treasury yields. Market positioning is now centered on Thursday's June employment report; a strong payrolls print would support the dollar and yields, while a softer print would allow gold and silver more room to extend gains.
