Gold and Crude Oil Futures See Surge in Trading and Open Interest on June 24

According to CME data on June 24, gold and crude oil futures showed increased activity in both trading volume and open interest. Gold futures recorded 213,396 contracts traded with 356,326 open contracts, up 80,664 and 4,159 contracts respectively from the previous session. WTI crude oil futures saw 796,077 contracts traded with 1,914,460 open contracts, rising 218,540 and 2,583 contracts. In contrast, natural gas futures declined across both metrics, with trading volume falling 79,923 contracts to 322,414 and open interest dropping 2,114 contracts to 1,610,945.
