Global Top 10 Foundries Post $479.5B Revenue in Q1, Up 3.7% QoQ

According to TrendForce, global top 10 foundries posted combined revenue of $479.5 billion in the first quarter, up 3.7% quarter-over-quarter and reaching a new record high. The research firm attributes the growth to continued strong AI HPC demand and supply chain pre-orders for TV and PC products offsetting seasonal smartphone production weakness. TrendForce forecasts Q2 revenue will reach a higher peak with accelerated quarter-over-quarter growth.
