Bank of America Raises 2030 Server CPU Market Forecast to $170B, Up 5x From 2025

According to Bank of America, the company raised its 2030 global server CPU market forecast to $170 billion on June 11, up from an earlier $125 billion estimate and representing roughly 5 times the 2025 market size of $35.2 billion. The upgrade reflects analyst Vivek Arya's view that agentic AI adoption will drive a major CPU growth cycle as the architecture shifts from GPU-centric to CPU+GPU dual-engine systems. The report also raised price targets for AMD, Arm, and Intel. Following the release, semiconductor stocks surged: AMD closed up 8%, Intel gained over 9%, and Arm rose nearly 11%.
