According to German Economy Minister Katherina Reiche, state-owned gas importer SEFE has agreed to purchase 1 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually from Canada's Ksi Lisisms LNG project under a 20-year supply agreement. Deliveries are expected to commence in the early 2030s, according to the signed Memorandum of Understanding. Reiche stated the accord underscores Germany and Canada's strategic energy partnership, enhancing supply chain diversification and economic resilience.
