According to Foresight News, Galaxy has acquired approximately 500 acres in McGregory, McLennan County, Texas for constructing an artificial intelligence and high-performance computing data center campus. The company has reached preliminary agreements with local power utilities to support the required interconnection infrastructure.
Phase 1 of the development is projected to support 74 megawatts of capacity, with Galaxy coordinating with utilities to eventually exceed the ERCOT 75-megawatt threshold. The company expects Phase 1 to go online in 2028, with full buildout targeting hundreds of megawatts by 2030, contingent on completion of development milestones and expansion of transmission infrastructure.
