According to Cuban military authorities, Cuba's Revolutionary Armed Forces Chief of Staff Roberto Regrera Sota Longo and U.S. Southern Command Chief Donovan held a meeting on May 30 to discuss security matters around the Guantanamo Naval Base perimeter and boundary areas. Both sides agreed to maintain command-level communication between the two militaries, according to the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces Ministry and the U.S. Southern Command's social media announcement.
